Molly & Adam- A Wedding in Maryville

Molly & Adam were married in Maryville, Missouri. A lovely little town, slightly reminiscent of Columbia, where we lived for years. (That’s Columbia the city, not the university, as was misunderstood once during the day. Awkward.) The evening was capped off with one of the most amazing sunsets I’ve ever seen. A wedding blessing perhaps. That unfortunately preceded us almost getting blown off the highway on the way home, but that’s irrelevant here. :) Adam & Molly had a great wedding and were a joy to shoot. Here’s a bit of a preview:

Jon & Ashley- A Kansas City Wedding

Jon and Ashley were married on another beautiful rainy Spring Saturday. Seems like those have been the majority lately, but that’s just fine. Sunny weddings are so cliche. :) It was a wonderful day and everyone seemed to have a great time despite the cold & rain.

For any photography nerds out there, many of these photos were taken on the highly esteemed Canon 35mm f1.4L that Canon was so generous as to lend me for the weekend. It’s a spectacular lens and I can’t wait to add it to my arsenal. I highly recommend it.

True/False 2010

For the past seven years the best fest in the midwest has emerged out from the small town of Columbia, MO. It’s called the True/False Documentary Film Festival. Trust me. In my ten years there it was easily the coolest happening to come around. It just goes to show that some things can come from the middle of nowhere. :) For the past two years, we have been asked to lead a group of photographers to document the fest, and we’ve loved it both years. This year’s team was fantastic. Thanks to Parker Michels-Boyce, Mo Scarpelli, Taylor Glascock, Mallory & Brian Taulbee, Jarred Donalson, & of course Ashley Jenkins.
